An Investigation into Language Variation and Change in a Multilingual Community** Language is a crucial aspect of human communication, serving as a medium through which individuals express their thoughts, emotions, and cultural identities. In multilingual communities, the dynamic interplay of diverse languages gives rise to language variation and change, reflecting the complex interactions among speakers. This thesis examines the patterns and factors influencing language variation and change within a specific multilingual community, aiming to shed light on the underlying mechanisms driving linguistic diversity.
