This thesis investigates the profound impact of social media, specifically Twitter, on the evolution of language, focusing on the English language. The pervasive use of social media platforms has transformed the way people communicate, leading to significant changes in language usage and structure. This study aims to explore how Twitter, as a micro-blogging platform, has influenced the evolution of English language by analyzing linguistic features such as lexical innovations, grammatical changes, and discourse patterns. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on the relationship between social media and language evolution.
