This thesis investigates the effectiveness of laser technology in the treatment of periodontal disease, aiming to provide comprehensive insights into the potential benefits and limitations of this innovative approach. The study explores the background of periodontal therapy and the growing interest in utilizing lasers as a treatment modality. A systematic literature review was conducted to analyze existing research on the use of laser technology in dentistry, focusing on its impact on periodontal health and clinical outcomes. The research methodology involved a quantitative analysis of data collected from patients undergoing laser periodontal therapy, evaluating parameters such as reduction in pocket depth, clinical attachment level gain, and bacterial reduction. The findings of this study reveal significant improvements in periodontal parameters following laser treatment, demonstrating promising results in terms of reducing inflammation, promoting tissue regeneration, and enhancing overall periodontal health. The discussion of findings highlights the advantages and limitations of laser technology in periodontal therapy, emphasizing the importance of proper patient selection, operator expertise, and post-treatment care.
