**Abstract
** This thesis explores the impact of body-worn cameras (BWCs) on police officer behavior and public perception from a criminological perspective. The use of BWCs by law enforcement agencies has become increasingly prevalent in recent years as a tool to enhance transparency, accountability, and evidence collection during police-citizen interactions. This study aims to investigate how the presence of BWCs influences the behavior of police officers and shapes the perceptions of the public towards law enforcement practices. The research methodology employed in this study includes a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches to gather data and analyze the findings. A mixed-methods research design will be utilized, incorporating surveys, interviews, and observational studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. The sample population will consist of both police officers wearing BWCs and members of the public who have interacted with officers equipped with such technology.
