Body-worn cameras (BWCs) have become a prevalent tool in modern policing, aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and trust between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. This study investigates the impact of body-worn cameras on police behavior and accountability through a comparative analysis. The research explores the use of BWCs in different police departments and assesses how they influence officer conduct, public perceptions, and overall accountability within the law enforcement system. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative interviews with police officers and community members. The literature review provides a comprehensive analysis of existing research on body-worn cameras, focusing on their effectiveness in improving police behavior and accountability. Various studies have highlighted the potential benefits of BWCs in reducing the use of force incidents, enhancing evidence collection, and increasing transparency. However, conflicting findings also suggest challenges related to privacy concerns, officer discretion, and the impact on community-police relations. The research methodology section outlines the research design, sampling strategy, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed in this study. A comparative analysis is conducted across multiple police departments that have implemented BWC programs to examine the differences in officer behavior and accountability outcomes.
