Body-worn cameras (BWCs) have become increasingly prevalent in law enforcement as a tool to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust between police officers and the community. This thesis examines the impact of body-worn cameras on police officer behavior and citizen perceptions through a criminological lens. The study seeks to investigate the effects of BWCs on the behavior of police officers in terms of their interactions with citizens, use of force incidents, and overall professionalism. Additionally, the research aims to explore how the presence of BWCs influences citizen perceptions of police legitimacy, trust, and satisfaction.
