The disparity in access to specialized dermatological care between rural and urban populations poses significant challenges in effective management of skin conditions, often resulting in delayed diagnoses, suboptimal treatment outcomes, and increased morbidity within rural communities. This study addresses the critical need to evaluate the effectiveness of teledermatology as a strategic intervention to bridge this healthcare gap, with the overarching aim of assessing its impact on diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency, and patient satisfaction among residents of rural areas. Specifically, the study seeks to compare clinical outcomes and patient-reported experiences between traditional in-person dermatology consultations and teledermatology services, identify factors influencing teledermatology adoption and success, and develop evidence-based recommendations for optimizing teledermatology implementation in resource-limited settings. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
