Thesis Abstract
The abstract section is as follows Abstract
Human rights are fundamental rights and freedoms that all individuals are entitled to. The protection and promotion of human rights are essential in ensuring a just and fair society. Public complaint commissions play a crucial role in upholding these rights by providing a platform for individuals to voice their grievances and seek redress for human rights violations. This research project aims to explore the roles of human rights and public complaint commissions in safeguarding individuals' rights and addressing instances of abuse and misconduct. The study will investigate the mechanisms through which human rights are protected and enforced, with a specific focus on the functions and effectiveness of public complaint commissions in addressing human rights violations. The research will utilize both qualitative and quantitative methods to gather data on the impact of human rights and public complaint commissions in promoting accountability and transparency in society. Interviews with key stakeholders, such as members of public complaint commissions, human rights activists, legal experts, and government officials, will provide valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in upholding human rights standards. Additionally, surveys and case studies will be conducted to analyze the outcomes of complaints filed with public complaint commissions and the subsequent actions taken to address these grievances. The findings of this research will contribute to the existing literature on human rights protection and public complaint mechanisms by providing a comprehensive analysis of their roles and functions in contemporary society. The study will also offer practical recommendations for policymakers, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders on how to strengthen human rights protection and improve the responsiveness of public complaint commissions. By enhancing our understanding of the interplay between human rights and public complaint mechanisms, this research aims to promote a culture of accountability, respect for human rights, and justice for all individuals in society.
