Abstract
The increasing complexity and volume of network traffic have made it challenging for organizations to effectively monitor and detect anomalies in their network systems. Traditional rule-based approaches are no longer sufficient to detect sophisticated and evolving network threats. This research project focuses on utilizing machine learning techniques for anomaly detection in network traffic. The objective is to develop a robust and accurate anomaly detection system that can detect both known and unknown network anomalies in real-time. The study begins with an introduction to the problem statement, highlighting the limitations of current anomaly detection methods and the need for more advanced techniques. The background of the study provides an overview of network traffic analysis and the importance of anomaly detection in maintaining the security and integrity of network systems.
