Thesis Abstract
This project aims to examine the linguistic representation of LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other non-heteronormative) communities. The study will investigate how language is used to construct and negotiate LGBTQ+ identities, as well as the role of language in shaping social attitudes, discrimination, and empowerment within these communities. By analyzing the linguistic dimensions of LGBTQ+ representation, this research seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between language and sexual orientation/gender identity.
