Thesis Abstract

This project aims to explore the intricate relationship between language and personal identity. Language plays a crucial role in shaping an individual's sense of self and belonging within various social contexts. Through an interdisciplinary approach drawing from sociolinguistics, psychology, and anthropology, this study seeks to investigate how language use contributes to the construction of personal identity. By examining linguistic practices, language choices, and narrative expressions, the project aims to shed light on the ways in which individuals use language to articulate and negotiate their personal identities within diverse social and cultural settings.
