This research project delves into the intricate relationship between social media, language evolution, and communication patterns. The primary objective of this study is to analyze how social media platforms have influenced the evolution of language and altered communication patterns among users. The research methodology employed in this study includes a comprehensive literature review to provide a theoretical foundation, as well as a qualitative analysis of data collected from various social media platforms. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review that synthesizes existing research on the impact of social media on language evolution and communication patterns. This chapter explores various aspects such as linguistic changes, communication styles, and the role of social media in shaping language use.
