Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to examine the influence of cooperatives in advocating for public policy changes that support the cooperative movement and advance the interests of cooperative enterprises. The study will analyze case studies of successful cooperative advocacy initiatives and their impact on legislative and regulatory reforms. By exploring the strategies employed by cooperatives to engage with policymakers and build coalitions, the research seeks to identify key factors contributing to effective advocacy efforts. The findings will provide insights into how cooperatives can leverage their collective voice to shape public policies that foster a more enabling environment for cooperative development and economic democracy.
