Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of digital technologies on cooperative economics and management strategies. In recent years, the rapid advancement of digital technologies has transformed various industries and businesses, including cooperatives, which are unique organizational structures aimed at promoting economic democracy and social welfare. The objective of this study is to assess how cooperatives can leverage digital technologies to enhance their economic performance and management practices. The research methodology employed in this study includes a comprehensive literature review, data collection through surveys and interviews with cooperative members and managers, as well as an analysis of case studies of cooperatives that have successfully implemented digital technologies in their operations. The findings of this study reveal that digital technologies offer significant opportunities for cooperatives to improve efficiency, innovation, member engagement, and overall competitiveness. However, challenges such as digital divide, data privacy, cybersecurity, and resistance to change must be addressed to fully realize the potential benefits of digitalization in cooperative economics and management. In conclusion, this thesis highlights the importance of embracing digital technologies in cooperative organizations to adapt to the changing business environment and remain sustainable in the long term. Recommendations are provided for cooperatives to strategically integrate digital technologies into their operations and management practices to maximize their social impact and economic performance.
