However, there is a gap in the literature regarding the specific ways in which co-operative enterprises contribute to sustainable development in rural areas. This study aims to address this gap by examining the various dimensions of sustainability impacted by co-operatives in rural communities. The research methodology employed in this study includes a comprehensive literature review to understand the theoretical framework underpinning co-operative enterprises and sustainable development. Primary data will be collected through interviews, surveys, and case studies of co-operative enterprises operating in rural communities.
