This project aims to investigate sustainable process design strategies for the production of specialty additives used in various industries, including polymers, coatings, and lubricants. Specialty additives play a crucial role in enhancing the performance and functionality of end products, and their production often involves complex synthesis routes and stringent quality requirements. The project will explore innovative process pathways, raw material selection, and process intensification techniques to develop sustainable and efficient production methods for specialty additives. Life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis will be employed to evaluate the environmental and economic performance of the proposed process designs. The project outcomes will contribute to the development of environmentally friendly and economically viable solutions for specialty additive production.
