This project aims to investigate advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) for the treatment of industrial and municipal wastewater. AOPs involve the generation of highly reactive hydroxyl radicals to degrade organic pollutants and toxic compounds present in wastewater. The project will focus on the application of various AOPs such as ozonation, UV/H2O2, and Fenton's reagent to assess their efficiency in degrading recalcitrant organic pollutants. The study will also explore the optimization of AOPs parameters and the development of cost-effective treatment strategies for industrial-scale implementation.
