Thesis Abstract

This project aims to develop advanced process control strategies specifically tailored for batch chemical processes. Batch processes are widely used in the chemical industry for the production of specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and fine chemicals. However, the dynamic nature of batch processes presents unique challenges for process control. This project will focus on the development of novel control strategies that can effectively handle the transient behavior and uncertainties associated with batch operations. The research will involve the use of advanced control algorithms, real-time optimization techniques, and model predictive control to enhance the performance, flexibility, and robustness of batch chemical processes.
