Green Roofs and Living Walls

Thesis Abstract

This project seeks to investigate the design, construction, and benefits of green roofs and living walls as innovative green building technologies for enhancing urban sustainability, biodiversity, and building performance. The research will explore the types of green roof systems, plant selection, growing media, waterproofing, and drainage solutions, as well as the integration of living walls for vertical greening. The project will also address the environmental, social, and economic impacts of green roofs and living walls, and provide guidelines for their effective implementation in urban environments.
