Building with Fire-Resistant Materials

Thesis Abstract

The project aims to explore the use of fire-resistant materials in building construction to enhance fire safety and mitigate the risk of fire-related damage. The research will focus on identifying and evaluating various fire-resistant materials, such as fire-retardant-treated wood, fire-resistant glass, intumescent coatings, and fire-resistant insulation. The study will also investigate the performance of these materials under different fire scenarios and assess their impact on building design, construction, and maintenance. The findings will contribute to the development of guidelines for integrating fire-resistant materials into building codes and standards, ultimately improving the overall fire safety of structures.
