This research project aims to investigate the role of metacognitive strategies in biology learning. Metacognition refers to the awareness and understanding of one's own thought processes and the ability to regulate and control these processes. In the context of biology education, metacognitive strategies can help students develop a deeper understanding of biological concepts and improve their problem-solving skills. This study will explore the effectiveness of various metacognitive strategies, such as self-reflection, self-questioning, and self-monitoring, in enhancing biology learning outcomes. The findings of this research will provide valuable insights into the importance of metacognitive strategies in biology education and inform instructional practices for promoting metacognitive skills among biology students.
