Assessing the impact of hands-on dissections on student understanding of anatomy

Thesis Abstract

This research project aims to assess the impact of hands-on dissections on student understanding of anatomy in biology education. Dissections have long been used as a practical approach to teaching anatomy, but their effectiveness in promoting student learning needs to be examined. The study will involve the implementation of hands-on dissection activities in a biology classroom, followed by data collection through pre- and post-assessments, observations, and interviews. The findings of this research will provide insights into the benefits and challenges of hands-on dissections in biology education and inform educators on effective strategies for incorporating dissection activities into their teaching practices.
