This research project aims to assess the effectiveness of multimedia simulations in teaching cellular respiration. Multimedia simulations provide students with interactive and visual representations of complex biological processes, enhancing their understanding and engagement. The study will involve a sample of high school biology students who will be divided into two groups one group will receive instruction on cellular respiration through traditional lecture-based methods, while the other group will engage with multimedia simulations. Pre- and post-tests will be administered to assess students' understanding of cellular respiration. Additionally, qualitative data will be collected through interviews and observations to gain insights into students' experiences and perceptions of multimedia simulations. The findings of this study will contribute to the existing literature on effective teaching strategies in biology education and provide practical recommendations for incorporating multimedia simulations into biology classrooms.
