Studying the Mechanisms of Enzyme Inhibition

Thesis Abstract

This project aims to study the mechanisms of enzyme inhibition. Enzyme inhibitors play a crucial role in regulating biochemical pathways, drug development, and understanding disease mechanisms. By investigating the interactions between enzymes and inhibitors, we can gain insights into the underlying biochemical mechanisms and develop strategies for modulating enzyme activity. This project will involve studying different types of enzyme inhibitors, including competitive, non-competitive, and uncompetitive inhibitors. The focus will be on the binding kinetics, structural changes, and biochemical consequences of enzyme inhibition. The findings from this research will contribute to the development of novel therapeutic approaches and the design of enzyme inhibitors with improved efficacy and specificity.
