Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules that play a crucial role in post-transcriptional gene regulation. In cancer cells, dysregulation of miRNAs has been implicated in the development and progression of various types of cancers. This study aimed to investigate the specific role of miRNAs in regulating gene expression in cancer cells, with a focus on understanding the underlying mechanisms and potential implications for cancer therapy. The research began with a comprehensive review of the literature on miRNAs and their involvement in cancer. The literature review highlighted the importance of miRNAs in cancer biology and their potential as diagnostic and therapeutic targets.
