MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules that play crucial roles in the regulation of gene expression. They have emerged as key regulators of various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. In the context of cancer, dysregulation of miRNAs has been implicated in tumorigenesis, metastasis, and resistance to therapy. This thesis aims to explore the role of miRNAs in cancer progression, with a focus on understanding their mechanisms of action and potential as therapeutic targets. The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of miRNAs, cancer biology, and the significance of studying their involvement in cancer progression. The background of the study delves into the existing literature on miRNAs and their association with different types of cancer.
