Thesis Abstract

Protein acetylation is a reversible post-translational modification that plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as gene expression, protein stability, and cellular signaling. This project aims to analyze the biochemistry of protein acetylation, including the enzymes involved in acetylation and deacetylation, the regulatory mechanisms, and the functional consequences of acetylation. By understanding the biochemistry of protein acetylation, we can gain insights into various diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
