Thesis Abstract
Abstract
Football academies play a crucial role in nurturing young talents and providing them with opportunities to develop their skills to a professional level. The evaluation of a football academy building, particularly in the context of Federal Polytechnic Oko campus, is essential for assessing its impact on the overall development of aspiring footballers. This study aims to analyze the facilities, training programs, coaching staff, and overall environment of the football academy at Federal Polytechnic Oko campus to determine its effectiveness in producing top-quality players. The research will utilize a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews with key stakeholders such as coaches, players, and administrators, along with quantitative analysis of performance data and facility utilization. By examining the perspectives of those directly involved in the football academy, we can gain valuable insights into the strengths and weaknesses of the program and identify areas for improvement. The study will also focus on the impact of the football academy on the academic performance and overall well-being of the student-athletes. By understanding how participation in the academy influences other aspects of their lives, we can assess the holistic benefits of the program beyond just football development. This will involve surveying students, teachers, and parents to gather diverse perspectives on the academy's role within the campus community. Furthermore, the research will explore the challenges faced by the football academy, including issues related to funding, infrastructure, and support from the university administration. By identifying these obstacles, we can propose recommendations for overcoming them and enhancing the academy's sustainability and long-term success. Overall, this evaluation of the football academy building at Federal Polytechnic Oko campus will provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the program in developing young football talents. By analyzing the various components of the academy and its impact on student-athletes, we can offer recommendations for improvement and contribute to the ongoing development of sports education within the campus.
