This project aims to investigate the potential of nanomaterials for water purification applications. Access to clean and safe drinking water is a global challenge, and conventional water treatment methods often fall short in removing contaminants effectively. Nanomaterials, with their unique properties and high surface area-to-volume ratio, offer promising solutions for water purification. This project will involve studying different types of nanomaterials, such as nanoparticles, nanofibers, and nanocomposites, and their applications in removing pollutants, including heavy metals, organic compounds, and microorganisms. The project will also assess the challenges and opportunities associated with the large-scale implementation of nanomaterial-based water purification technologies.
