Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the rising demand for animal protein worldwide. Enhancing the growth performance of broiler chickens is essential to ensure the sustainability and profitability of poultry production. The use of feed additives has been explored as a strategy to optimize growth performance in broiler chickens. This study aimed to investigate the impact of different feed additives on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research methodology involved conducting a series of experiments using various feed additives, including probiotics, prebiotics, enzymes, and organic acids. These feed additives were incorporated into the diets of broiler chickens at different concentrations to observe their effects on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The study also assessed the economic implications of using these feed additives in terms of cost-effectiveness and return on investment. The results of the study revealed significant differences in growth performance among broiler chickens fed diets supplemented with different feed additives. Probiotics and enzymes were found to have a positive impact on body weight gain and feed conversion ratio, leading to improved growth performance compared to the control group. Prebiotics and organic acids also showed promising results in enhancing the overall health and performance of broiler chickens. Furthermore, the economic analysis indicated that the use of certain feed additives, such as probiotics and enzymes, could result in cost savings for poultry producers in the long run. These additives not only improved growth performance but also contributed to overall health and well-being of the chickens, thereby reducing the need for antibiotics and other medications. In conclusion, this study demonstrates the potential of different feed additives in enhancing the growth performance of broiler chickens. By strategically incorporating these additives into the diets of broiler chickens, poultry producers can achieve better growth outcomes, optimize feed efficiency, and improve profitability. Implementing a tailored feed additive strategy based on the specific needs of the birds can lead to sustainable and efficient poultry production practices.
