Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This study investigated the effects of different feeding regimens on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Broiler chickens are a significant source of meat production worldwide, and optimizing their growth performance is crucial for the poultry industry. The research aimed to compare the growth performance of broiler chickens fed with different feeding regimens, including conventional feed, organic feed, and genetically modified feed. A total of 300 broiler chickens were randomly assigned to three dietary treatment groups, with each group consisting of 100 birds. The birds were raised under similar environmental conditions to eliminate confounding factors. Growth performance parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate were monitored throughout the study period. The findings revealed significant differences in growth performance among the three dietary treatment groups. Broiler chickens fed with organic feed exhibited the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to those fed with conventional and genetically modified feed. Additionally, chickens fed with organic feed showed a lower mortality rate, indicating better overall health and well-being. The results suggest that the type of feed given to broiler chickens has a substantial impact on their growth performance and health outcomes. Furthermore, the study assessed the economic implications of using different feeding regimens in broiler chicken production. Cost-benefit analysis indicated that while organic feed may be more expensive upfront, the improved growth performance and reduced mortality rate could lead to higher profits in the long run. These findings have practical implications for poultry farmers and industry stakeholders in optimizing broiler chicken production systems. In conclusion, this research provides valuable insights into the effects of different feeding regimens on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The results highlight the importance of selecting appropriate feed formulations to enhance growth performance and overall productivity in broiler chicken production. Future research could focus on investigating the long-term effects of different feeding regimens on meat quality, environmental sustainability, and consumer preferences in poultry production. Keywords Broiler chickens, feeding regimens, growth performance, conventional feed, organic feed, genetically modified feed, poultry production, cost-benefit analysis.
