Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The aim of this research study was to investigate the effects of different diets on the growth and development of broiler chickens. The poultry industry plays a crucial role in providing a sustainable source of protein for human consumption, and optimizing the growth and development of broiler chickens is essential for maximizing productivity and profitability. This study aimed to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on poultry nutrition by evaluating the impact of various dietary factors on the growth performance, feed efficiency, and overall health of broiler chickens. The research methodology involved the design and implementation of a controlled feeding trial using a total of 200 broiler chickens. The chickens were divided into four treatment groups, each receiving a different experimental diet. The diets were formulated to vary in their nutrient composition, including levels of protein, energy, vitamins, and minerals. The growth performance of the chickens was monitored over a 6-week period, with regular measurements taken of body weight, feed intake, and feed conversion ratio. The results of the study revealed significant differences in growth performance among the different dietary treatments. Chickens fed a high-protein diet exhibited the fastest growth rates, while those receiving a low-energy diet showed slower growth but improved feed efficiency. Additionally, chickens fed a diet supplemented with specific vitamins and minerals demonstrated enhanced immune function and overall health. The findings of this study have important implications for the poultry industry, highlighting the importance of formulating balanced diets that meet the nutritional requirements of broiler chickens at different stages of growth. The results underscore the importance of nutrition in maximizing poultry productivity and profitability.
