The use of probiotics in animal nutrition, particularly in poultry production, has gained significant attention in recent years due to the potential benefits on gut health and overall performance. This thesis aims to investigate the effects of probiotics on gut health in poultry, focusing on key parameters such as growth performance, gut microbial composition, immune response, and nutrient utilization. The study begins with a comprehensive review of the literature on probiotics in poultry production, highlighting the mechanisms by which probiotics influence gut health and overall performance. Various probiotic strains, modes of administration, and dosage levels are evaluated to determine their efficacy in improving gut health parameters. Methodologically, a randomized controlled trial is conducted using a sample of broiler chickens divided into treatment and control groups. The probiotic treatment is administered through the feed over a specified duration, and key parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, gut microbial composition, and immune response are measured and compared between the two groups.
