Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide, with broiler chickens being one of the most important sources of meat production. The growth performance of broiler chickens is influenced by various factors, with feeding strategies being a key determinant. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chapter one provides an introduction to the research topic, highlighting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to feeding strategies and growth performance in broiler chickens. Chapter three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, data analysis procedures, study variables, ethical considerations, and limitations. The study utilized a randomized controlled trial design with a sample size of 300 broiler chickens divided into three groups based on different feeding strategies. Chapter four presents a detailed discussion of the findings, including the effects of each feeding strategy on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The results revealed significant differences in growth performance among the groups, highlighting the importance of selecting appropriate feeding strategies for optimal outcomes in broiler production. Chapter five provides a conclusion and summary of the study, emphasizing the key findings, implications for the poultry industry, recommendations for future research, and practical applications for broiler farmers.
