Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide. Broiler chickens are one of the most popular sources of meat, and their growth performance is influenced by various factors, including feeding regimes. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding regimes on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chapter One of the thesis provides an introduction to the research topic, background information, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to broiler chicken nutrition and growth performance. The review synthesizes existing knowledge on the impact of feeding regimes on broiler growth. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including details on the experimental design, sample size determination, data collection methods, feeding regimes tested, and statistical analysis techniques used. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and potential limitations of the research methodology. Chapter Four presents a detailed discussion of the findings obtained from the study. The results of the experiments investigating the effects of different feeding regimes on broiler growth performance are analyzed and interpreted in this chapter. The discussion includes comparisons between the various feeding regimes and their impact on factors such as weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and overall health of the broiler chickens.
