Effects of Different Feeding Regimens on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens

Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for animal protein worldwide. Broiler chickens are a popular choice for meat production due to their rapid growth rate and high feed efficiency. The feeding regimen of broiler chickens is a key factor that influences their growth performance and overall health. This study aimed to investigate the effects of different feeding regimens on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted using a randomized controlled trial design, with three different feeding regimens assigned to separate groups of broiler chickens. The regimens included a standard commercial feed, an organic feed, and a custom-formulated feed with specific nutrient ratios. A total of 300 broiler chickens were used in the study, with 100 chickens allocated to each feeding regimen group. The growth performance parameters assessed included body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. Data was collected at regular intervals throughout the study period, which lasted for 8 weeks. Statistical analysis was conducted to compare the growth performance outcomes among the different feeding regimen groups. The results indicated that the feeding regimen significantly influenced the growth performance of broiler chickens. The group fed the custom-formulated feed showed the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio, indicating better growth efficiency. The organic feed group also exhibited favorable growth performance compared to the standard commercial feed group. In conclusion, the findings of this study highlight the importance of selecting appropriate feeding regimens to optimize the growth performance of broiler chickens. Custom-formulated feeds and organic feeds may offer advantages in terms of growth efficiency and overall health of the birds. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term effects of different feeding regimens on broiler chicken production and to identify optimal feeding strategies for sustainable poultry farming practices.
