Abstract
The aim of this research was to investigate the effects of different feed formulations on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The study was conducted to address the increasing demand for efficient and sustainable poultry farming practices. A total of 200 broiler chickens were divided into four groups, each group receiving a different feed formulation. The growth performance parameters, including feed conversion ratio, average daily weight gain, and feed intake, were measured and compared among the groups over a 6-week period. The results revealed significant variations in growth performance among the groups fed different formulations. Group A, which received a feed formulation rich in protein and essential nutrients, exhibited the highest average daily weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio. In contrast, Group D, which received a lower quality feed formulation, showed slower growth rates and higher feed intake. These findings suggest that the nutritional composition of feed plays a crucial role in determining the growth performance of broiler chickens. Furthermore, the study explored the economic implications of using different feed formulations in poultry farming. An analysis of production costs and revenue projections indicated that investing in high-quality feed formulations could lead to higher profitability due to improved growth performance and feed efficiency. However, the initial investment in premium feed formulations may present challenges for small-scale poultry farmers with limited resources. In conclusion, this research highlights the importance of feed formulation in optimizing the growth performance of broiler chickens. The findings underscore the need for further research and industry collaboration to develop cost-effective feed formulations that enhance poultry growth while ensuring sustainability and profitability in the poultry sector. By understanding the impact of feed on growth performance, poultry farmers can make informed decisions to improve the efficiency and productivity of their operations, ultimately contributing to the sustainable growth of the poultry industry.
