Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the global demand for animal protein. Among poultry species, broiler chickens are widely raised for meat production due to their fast growth rate. Nutrition is a key factor influencing the growth performance of broiler chickens, and dietary supplements have been used to enhance growth and productivity. This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplements on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review on the role of dietary supplements in enhancing the growth performance of broiler chickens. Ten key items are discussed, including the types of dietary supplements commonly used, their mechanisms of action, and previous research findings in this area. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study. It includes details on the research design, sample selection, data collection methods, dietary supplement formulations, feeding protocols, and growth performance measurements. The chapter also covers statistical analysis techniques and ethical considerations. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study and provides an in-depth discussion of the results. The growth performance parameters of broiler chickens fed with different dietary supplements are analyzed and compared. Factors such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate are evaluated to assess the effectiveness of the dietary supplements in enhancing growth performance. Finally, Chapter Five summarizes the key findings of the study and presents conclusions drawn from the research. The implications of the results for the poultry industry are discussed, along with recommendations for future research in this field. Overall, this study contributes to the understanding of how dietary supplements can impact the growth performance of broiler chickens and provides valuable insights for poultry producers seeking to optimize production efficiency.
