This thesis investigates the effects of dietary supplementation with probiotics on the growth performance and gut health of broiler chickens. The study aims to address the increasing need for sustainable and effective alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters in poultry production. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter Two comprises a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to probiotics, poultry nutrition, gut health, and growth performance in broiler chickens. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including experimental design, sample collection, probiotic supplementation protocol, data analysis techniques, and statistical methods. The findings of the study are discussed in Chapter Four, highlighting the effects of probiotic supplementation on the growth performance and gut health parameters of broiler chickens. Finally, Chapter Five presents the conclusion and summary of the thesis, emphasizing the implications of the research findings and suggesting potential areas for further investigation.
