Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of various feeding strategies on the growth performance of poultry birds. The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the protein demands of the ever-growing population. Effective feeding strategies are essential for optimizing growth performance, ensuring animal welfare, and maintaining economic viability in poultry production. This study aims to evaluate and compare the effects of different feeding approaches on the growth parameters and overall performance of poultry birds. The research methodology involved a comprehensive review of relevant literature to establish the theoretical framework for the study. Ten key areas were identified in the literature review, covering topics such as nutritional requirements, feed composition, feeding practices, growth promotion additives, and feed efficiency. The findings from existing studies provided valuable insights into the potential impact of various feeding strategies on poultry growth performance. In the experimental phase, the research design incorporated various feeding regimens, including different feed formulations, feeding frequencies, and supplementation strategies. A total of 500 broiler chickens were randomly assigned to different treatment groups to assess the effects of these feeding strategies on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rates. Data collection was conducted over a 10-week period, with regular monitoring of bird performance and health status. The results of the study revealed significant differences in growth performance among the different feeding strategies employed. Birds fed with a high-protein diet exhibited improved growth rates and feed conversion efficiency compared to those on standard diets. Additionally, the inclusion of growth-promoting additives in the feed led to further enhancements in growth parameters. However, certain feeding strategies also showed limitations, such as increased mortality rates or higher feed costs.
