Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of various feeding strategies on the growth performance of poultry birds. The poultry industry plays a crucial role in meeting the protein demands of the ever-growing population. Effective feeding strategies are essential for optimizing growth performance, ensuring animal welfare, and maintaining economic viability in poultry production. This study aims to evaluate and compare the effects of different feeding approaches on the growth parameters and overall performance of poultry birds. The research methodology involved a comprehensive review of relevant literature to establish the theoretical framework for the study. Ten key areas were identified in the literature review, covering topics such as nutritional requirements, feed composition, feeding practices, growth promotion additives, and feed efficiency. The findings from existing studies provided valuable insights into the potential impact of various feeding strategies on poultry growth performance. In the experimental phase, the research design incorporated various feeding regimens, including different feed formulations, feeding frequencies, and supplementation strategies. A total of 500 broiler chickens were randomly assigned to different treatment groups to assess the effects of these feeding strategies on growth parameters such as body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rates. Data collection was conducted over a 10-week period, with regular monitoring of bird performance and health status. The results of the study revealed significant differences in growth performance among the different feeding strategies employed. Birds fed with a high-protein diet exhibited improved growth rates and feed conversion efficiency compared to those on standard diets. Additionally, the inclusion of growth-promoting additives in the feed led to further enhancements in growth parameters. However, certain feeding strategies also showed limitations, such as increased mortality rates or higher feed costs. The discussion of findings delves into the implications of the results on poultry production practices and highlights the importance of selecting appropriate feeding strategies based on specific production goals and constraints. The study provides valuable insights for poultry producers, nutritionists, and researchers seeking to optimize growth performance and profitability in poultry farming. In conclusion, this thesis contributes to the existing body of knowledge on poultry nutrition and growth performance by evaluating the effects of different feeding strategies on poultry birds. The findings underscore the significance of tailored feeding approaches in maximizing growth potential and efficiency in poultry production. The implications of this research extend to the broader poultry industry, emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making in feed management practices to enhance overall productivity and sustainability.

Thesis Overview

The project titled "Effect of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Poultry Birds" aims to investigate and analyze the impact of various feeding strategies on the growth performance of poultry birds. Poultry farming is a crucial aspect of the agricultural sector, providing a significant source of protein for human consumption worldwide. The growth and development of poultry birds are influenced by several factors, with nutrition playing a fundamental role in achieving optimal growth rates and overall performance. The research will focus on comparing and evaluating different feeding strategies commonly used in poultry production, such as conventional diets, organic feed, and alternative feed ingredients. By exploring these feeding strategies, the study seeks to determine their effects on key growth performance indicators in poultry birds, including body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rates. Furthermore, the project will assess the economic implications of implementing various feeding strategies in poultry farming operations. Understanding the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of different feeding approaches is essential for poultry farmers to make informed decisions that maximize profitability while maintaining animal welfare standards. Through a combination of experimental trials, data analysis, and statistical modeling, this research aims to provide valuable insights into the optimal feeding strategies that enhance the growth performance of poultry birds. The findings of this study have the potential to contribute to the development of sustainable poultry farming practices that promote animal health and productivity while meeting the increasing demand for poultry products in the market. Overall, the project "Effect of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Poultry Birds" seeks to advance knowledge in the field of animal science and offer practical recommendations for poultry farmers to improve the growth performance and profitability of their operations through optimized feeding practices.
