Thesis Abstract

Abstract
The poultry industry plays a significant role in meeting the increasing demand for animal protein worldwide. Among poultry species, broiler chickens are preferred for their rapid growth and efficient feed conversion. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of different feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. The research was conducted using a randomized controlled trial design, with a total of 200 broiler chickens allocated to four treatment groups Control group (commercial feed only), Group A (commercial feed supplemented with vitamins), Group B (commercial feed supplemented with probiotics), and Group C (commercial feed supplemented with a combination of vitamins and probiotics). The study spanned a period of 8 weeks, during which various growth parameters were monitored, including body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate. The findings revealed that broiler chickens in Group C, which received a combination of vitamins and probiotics, exhibited the highest body weight gain and the lowest feed conversion ratio compared to the other groups. Group B, supplemented with probiotics, also showed improved growth performance, while Group A, supplemented with vitamins, demonstrated moderate improvements. The control group, receiving only commercial feed, had the lowest growth performance indicators. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest that the incorporation of probiotics and vitamins in broiler chicken diets can positively impact growth performance. These findings have practical implications for poultry farmers and feed manufacturers seeking to optimize the growth potential of broiler chickens. Further research is recommended to explore the mechanisms underlying the observed effects and to refine feeding strategies for enhanced broiler chicken production efficiency.

Thesis Overview

The research project titled "Effect of Different Feeding Strategies on Growth Performance of Broiler Chickens" aims to investigate the impact of various feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. Broiler chickens are a popular source of poultry meat worldwide, and optimizing their growth performance is essential for efficient poultry production. The project will delve into the different feeding strategies commonly used in broiler production, such as conventional feed, alternative feed ingredients, and feed additives. By comparing the growth performance of broiler chickens under these various feeding strategies, the research seeks to determine which approach leads to the best overall growth outcomes in terms of weight gain, feed conversion efficiency, and overall health. The study will involve conducting feeding trials with broiler chickens divided into different groups, each receiving a specific feeding strategy. Key parameters such as body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and mortality rate will be measured and analyzed to assess the effectiveness of each feeding strategy in promoting optimal growth performance. Furthermore, the project will explore the potential economic implications of implementing different feeding strategies in broiler production. By evaluating the cost-effectiveness of each approach in relation to growth performance outcomes, the research aims to provide insights into the economic viability of adopting alternative feeding strategies in commercial broiler production settings. Overall, this research overview underscores the importance of understanding the impact of feeding strategies on the growth performance of broiler chickens. By elucidating the relationship between feeding practices and growth outcomes, this study aims to contribute valuable insights to the field of animal science and poultry production, with the ultimate goal of enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of broiler chicken production systems.
