Abstract
The poultry industry plays a crucial role in providing a significant source of animal protein for human consumption. In this study, the impact of different feeding regimes on growth performance and nutrient utilization in broiler chickens was investigated. The research aimed to assess how varying feed compositions affect the growth rate and efficiency of nutrient utilization in broiler chickens. The study was conducted over a period of 12 weeks, during which broiler chickens were randomly assigned to different feeding groups with distinct dietary formulations. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review, discussing ten key studies related to broiler nutrition, growth performance, and nutrient utilization. The literature review provides a theoretical foundation for the study and highlights gaps in existing knowledge that this research aims to address. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in the study, including the experimental design, sample size determination, data collection methods, and statistical analysis procedures. The chapter also discusses the ethical considerations taken into account during the research process. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, analyzing the growth performance and nutrient utilization data collected from the broiler chickens under different feeding regimes.
