The aging population is growing rapidly worldwide, leading to an increased prevalence of osteoporosis and fractures among the elderly. Maintaining bone density is crucial for preventing fractures and maintaining overall health in older individuals. Exercise has been recognized as a key factor in improving bone density and reducing the risk of osteoporosis. This thesis aimed to investigate the effects of exercise on bone density in elderly individuals. Chapter One provides the groundwork for the study, including the introduction, background information on bone density and aging, the problem statement, objectives of the study, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms.
