This thesis aims to investigate the impact of AI on financial reporting in publicly listed companies. The study explores how AI technologies, such as machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation, are being adopted by companies to enhance financial reporting processes. The research begins by providing an introduction to the topic, outlining the background of the study and presenting the problem statement that motivates the research.
