Climate change is a pressing global issue that poses significant threats to marine biodiversity, particularly coral reefs. This thesis explores the impacts of climate change on marine biodiversity, with a specific focus on coral reefs. The study aims to understand the various effects of climate change on coral reefs and the implications for marine ecosystems. Through a case study approach, the research investigates how rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification, and other climate-related factors are influencing the health and resilience of coral reef ecosystems. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background of the study, problem statement, research objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. The literature review in Chapter Two examines existing research on climate change impacts on marine biodiversity, with a focus on coral reefs. Ten key themes are identified and analyzed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of knowledge in the field. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in this study, including sampling techniques, data collection methods, and analytical approaches.
