Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that is increasingly impacting wildlife populations, including migratory birds. This thesis aims to investigate how climate change is influencing the behavior of migratory birds, with a focus on understanding the implications for their survival and conservation. The study involves a comprehensive literature review to synthesize existing knowledge on the topic, followed by field research to gather firsthand data on the behavior of migratory birds in response to changing environmental conditions. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter Two consists of a detailed literature review that examines previous research on the effects of climate change on migratory birds, including studies on migration patterns, breeding success, foraging behavior, and habitat selection. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including the study area, data collection methods, and data analysis techniques. The methodology section also describes how the behavior of migratory birds was observed and documented in the field, highlighting the challenges and ethical considerations involved in studying wildlife in their natural habitats. Chapter Four presents a thorough discussion of the findings from the research, analyzing the observed changes in behavior among migratory birds in response to climate change. The chapter explores how factors such as temperature, precipitation, and habitat degradation are influencing the migratory patterns, breeding success, and foraging behavior of these birds. The implications of these findings for the conservation of migratory bird populations are also discussed.
