**Abstract
** Climate change is increasingly recognized as a significant threat to marine biodiversity, particularly impacting fragile ecosystems such as coral reefs. This thesis investigates the effects of climate change on marine biodiversity, with a specific focus on coral reefs. The study aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the current status of coral reefs in the context of climate change, exploring the various ecological, biological, and environmental factors contributing to their decline. The research methodology employed a combination of field studies, data analysis, and literature review to gather information on the state of coral reefs in the face of climate change. The literature review revealed a wealth of existing knowledge on the subject, highlighting the severe consequences of rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events on coral reef ecosystems. These stressors have led to coral bleaching, disease outbreaks, and overall degradation of reef structures.
