Abstract
Climate change is a significant global challenge that poses a threat to marine biodiversity, particularly coral reefs. This study aims to investigate the impact of climate change on marine biodiversity, with a specific focus on coral reefs. The research will examine the various factors contributing to coral reef degradation, including rising sea temperatures, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events. Through a case study approach, data will be collected from a selected coral reef ecosystem to assess the current state of biodiversity and identify key stressors affecting the ecosystem. The literature review will provide a comprehensive overview of existing research on climate change and its effects on marine biodiversity, with a specific emphasis on coral reefs. Key findings from previous studies will be synthesized to highlight the most pressing issues facing coral reef ecosystems in the context of climate change. The research methodology will include field surveys, data analysis, and modeling techniques to examine the relationship between climate change and coral reef biodiversity. The findings of this study will be presented in chapter four, where the implications of climate change on marine biodiversity, particularly coral reefs, will be discussed in detail.
