Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease affecting dogs, leading to pain, decreased mobility, and reduced quality of life. Traditional treatment options often provide limited effectiveness in managing the condition. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising alternative for treating osteoarthritis in dogs due to its regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. This thesis aims to investigate the use of stem cell therapy in treating osteoarthritis in dogs, evaluating its efficacy, safety, and long-term outcomes. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, the problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects related to osteoarthritis in dogs, stem cell therapy, and previous research studies in this field. Chapter 3 outlines the research methodology, detailing the study design, participant selection criteria, stem cell source, administration methods, follow-up protocols, outcome measures, data analysis techniques, and ethical considerations.
