Telemedicine, the use of technology to provide remote healthcare services, has gained traction in human medicine, and its potential applications in veterinary practice are being increasingly recognized. This thesis explores the role of telemedicine in veterinary practice, focusing on its benefits, challenges, and implications for the profession. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms related to telemedicine in veterinary practice. The chapter sets the stage for the subsequent discussions on the subject matter. Chapter 2 presents a comprehensive literature review, analyzing existing research and publications on telemedicine in veterinary practice. Ten key areas are explored, including the history of telemedicine in veterinary care, current applications, technological advancements, regulatory considerations, ethical implications, and client perceptions.
